This episode, centered around the town of Predazzo in the Dolomites of Italy, addresses the early modern geology controversy on the origin of granites. At stake in this debate was much more than the origin of a rock type. Raúl Esperante is a senior researcher at the Geoscience Research Institute and has a doctorate in Paleontology from Loma Linda University. His research projects include the study of fossil whales in Peru and the study of dinosaurs in different parts of the world.
