Video series: Seeking Understanding

Dr. Randall Younker has worked as an archaeologist in the Middle East for most of his professional life. During the course of his education, his faith was challenged in the accuracy of Moses’ account of history contained in the first five books of the Bible. Of particular concern was the record of domestic camels in the story of Abraham and his immediate descendants. In this engaging documentary, Dr. Younker takes us to Jordan and the Sinai Peninsula explaining how he dealt with this historical anachronism in the Bible and of his own research relating to camel domestication.

Ariel Roth has dedicated his life to understanding Earth history. This documentary – with spectacular videography of the Grand Canyon and also featuring material from his time under water in the Hydrolab investigating coral growth – explores some of the conclusions drawn from Dr. Roth’s lifetime of experience.

The fossil forests of Yellowstone National Park are both fascinating and puzzling. How did multiple layers of vertical petrified trees form? Harold Coffin spent years studying this question and arrived at a remarkable theory, but it would not be shown to be reasonable and probably true until the eruption of Mt. St. Helens.
